    WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN [PORTER] TO JOIN THE TEAM AT OUR PORTFOLIO OF SEVEN (7) PROPERTIES (TOTAL 35 UNITS) IN GREATER LOS ANGELES.

    WSH Management has managed senior and multi-family properties since we began operations over 20 years ago and are very experienced in the management of both affordable and market rate apartment communities. We currently manage over 60 properties in California and have over 100 employees.  Come join us!

    The Multi-Site Maintenance Technician [Porter] is responsible for the up daily upkeep of seven (7), 5-unit properties (35 units total) in the Los Angeles area. Responsibilities include running work orders electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repairs, and exterior maintenance.  The ideal candidate can complete a variety of tasks simultaneously, while also delivering a high level of customer service. 

    WORK SCHEDULE:  MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 8:30 AM TO 4:30 PM AND ON-CALL FOR AFTER-HOURS EMERGENCIES.

    FULL BENEFIT PACKAGE INCLUDES:

    • ONE-BEDROOM APARTMENT IN RESEDA

    • SALARY: $21.00 PER HOUR

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    80% dedicated to basic maintenance duties and 20% of duties will be dedicated to cleaning.

    • Respond to service requests on a first in, first out, (except in the case of an emergency) and in accordance with Fair Housing guidelines.  Document to accurately describe work done, parts used, disposition and time spent.
    • Inspect property and equipment daily to determine need and extent of service, equipment required, type and number of operation and maintenance personnel needed.
    • Cleans all common areas; rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, laundry centers, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas.
    • May perform other duties as assigned.

    EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

    • Requires a minimum of two (2) years Apartment Maintenance or equivalent.
    • Possess proficiency of the English language, including the ability to understand and communicate effectively with other employees, customers and vendors who only speak English as necessary to perform essential job duties.
    • Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
    • Proven working experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repairs etc. 
    • Proven working experience as a janitor / porter.
    • Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.
    • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
    • Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets.
    • Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and have own transportation.  (Mileage reimbursed based on Federal mileage rates.)
    • Candidate will be required to pass a background and drug screening. (A conviction will not necessarily disqualify you from employment with WSH Management.
