    WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN [PORTER] TO JOIN OUR TEAM AT OUR 119-UNIT 2-STORY SENIOR APARTMENT COMMUNITY NEAR N. WATERMAN AND 9TH STREET IN SAN BERNARDINO. 

    WSH Management has managed senior and multi-family properties since we began operations over 20 years ago and are very experienced in the management of both affordable and market rate apartment communities. We currently manage over 60 properties in California and have over 100 employees.  Come join us!

    The Maintenance Technician [Porter] daily responsibilities will include completing work orders for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repairs, exterior maintenance, etc. Also responsible for keeping the appearance of the property in excellent condition, both inside and out. The ideal candidate can handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, while also delivering a high level of customer service.

    The Maintenance Technician [Porter] In addition, must often respond to after hour emergencies. All maintenance tools will be provided for use at the property. 

    WORK SCHEDULE:  8:00 AM TO 5:00 PM (MON-FRI) AND ON-CALL FOR AFTER-HOURS EMERGENCIES.

    FULL BENEFIT PACKAGE INCLUDES: 

    • Medical & dental insurance
    • Paid vacation and holidays 
    • 401K plan with employer matching contribution.
    • Full Time: 40 hours per week
    • SALARY: $21.00 PER HOUR

    40% of duties will be dedicated to cleaning and 60% dedicated to basic maintenance duties

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

    • Respond to service requests on a first in, first out, (except in the case of an emergency) and in accordance with Fair Housing guidelines.  Document to accurately describe work done, parts used, disposition and time spent.
    • Inspect property and equipment daily to determine need and extent of service, equipment required, type and number of operation and maintenance personnel needed.
    • Cleans all common areas; rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, laundry centers, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas.

     REQUIREMENTS:

    • 2 years facilities/apartment community/maintenance and porter or janitorial
    • Possess proficiency of the English language, including the ability to understand and communicate effectively with other employees, customers and vendors who only speak English as necessary to perform essential job duties.
    • On call and weekend service experience
    • Candidate will be required to pass a background and drug screening. (A conviction will not necessarily disqualify you from employment with WSH Management.)
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain current auto insurance.  (Motor vehicle report review is part of the hiring process.)
