    JOB DESCRIPTION: WV Family Support & Rehabilitation Services (WVFSRS) is seeking a Full Time Re-Entry Program Clinician in Cabell County to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Re-Entry Program. WVFSRS is looking for someone who can train and oversee department staff, complete risk/needs assessments, facilitate MDT meetings, facilitate Advisory Board Meetings and maintain data collection for statistical reporting. Act as the liaison for the jail and partner organizations.

    WVFSRS Re-Entry Program's goal is to assists clients in reducing legal financial obligations (LFOs), vacating criminal convictions, and a variety of other reentry legal needs. The Re-Entry Program Clinician will be responsible for conducting an intake with each new Civil Survival client to assess the client’s non-legal needs, including housing, case management, employment, family reunification services, transportation, communication technology support, and education. After assessing the client’s needs, the Re-entry Program Clinician will create a re-entry service plan for the client, with a focus on culturally appropriate resources. After discussing the plan with the client, the Re-entry Program Clinician will then connect the client to identified community providers. In order to connect clients to culturally appropriate services, the Re-entry Program Clinician will build relationships with service providers across West Virginia & Ohio.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Conducting client need assessments

    Creating reentry service plans specific to individual clients

    Working with government agencies to ensure program participants are engaged and supported in services that includes employment/training, housing, mentoring, and other comprehensive services.

    Working directly with program participants to plan for reintegration from incarceration into the community.

    Serving as the central point of contact between the Cabell City Justice organizations and external partners.

    Conduct initial pre-release analysis to determine the level of service and support needed.

    Attending program and agency related meetings and conference.

    Assist with the collection of research data, report writing, and follow-up of civil survival clients.

    Ensuring individual participants case planning encompasses key partners, support, and services; and maintaining relationships and contracts within the network of local providers.

    A skilled understanding of how to support clients who have experienced trauma, mental illness, and substance use.

    An understanding and empathy with the stresses experienced by clients who are impacted by poverty, mental illness, disabilities, unstable housing, substance use, domestic strife, and other barriers.

    Ability to help clients through the principles of harm-reduction—meeting clients where they are, in a way that is responsive to their specific needs.

    Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity in working with diverse clients, communities, and colleagues.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Must possess a master's degree in social work, counseling, business, liberal arts, or a related field Plus 2-5 years prior supervisory experience overseeing justice involved programing, preferably the incarcerated population.

    Must be proficient in the usage of the English language which involves the ability to read, write and speak.

    Should be able to demonstrate competencies in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.

    Strong interpersonal skills are required.

    Preferred candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of work experience in a correctional setting and have correctional education programming experience.

    Must have excellent organizational and communication skills and have the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds

    Ability to work independently and to work a flexible schedule including nights and/or weekends (when needed).

    Lived experience in the criminal legal system is preferred.

    Detailed knowledge about, and connections to, reentry service providers, including those assisting with housing, case management, employment services, family reunification, transportation, communication skills/resources, education, and basic needs.
