Job Description
WWC Global is seeking a capable, organized, and effective Computer Programmer to support Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) and the NAVSEA Surface Training Systems Program Office (PMS 339). The ideal individual will have experience or related experience in the analysis, design, and development of computer software and computer networks, and experience in various computer languages.
The candidates responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
- Create software programs, e.g., games, computer-based education, military interactive courseware, desktop publishing, financial planning, spreadsheets, client/server applications, multimedia, electronic classrooms, interactive multimedia instruction, Internet technology, distance learning, and virtual reality.
- Write and maintain software programs that list the steps the computer must execute to perform functions.
- Update, repair, and modify code and routines of existing software programs.
- Prepare sample data to test all parts of a program; conduct trial runs and test software programs to ensure instructions are correct and will produce the desired information.
- Debug or eliminate errors from the software by making appropriate changes when errors occur, and then recheck the program.
- Prepare descriptions that list the input required, the steps the computer must follow to process data, and the desired arrangement of the output.
- Prepare instructions for the computer operator who will run the software program.
- Prepare a users manual for software programs.
- Access or generate a wide variety of software programs, e.g., instructions involved in updating financial records, instructions to duplicate conditions onboard a military training simulator.
- Design a database system that maintains assigned training system operational and currency status.
- Write software programs or operating systems using programming and object-oriented languages, as well as computer networking, data base management, and artificial intelligence.
- Once the design is developed, prepare charts and diagrams that describe the proposed system in terms that other users can understand.
- Prepare specifications, work diagrams, and structure charts.
- Connect computers through networking, i.e., local area networks, wide area networks, multi-user systems, electronic mail, modems, laptops, and the Internet.
- Coordinate with the Program/Project Manager to ensure problem solution and user satisfaction.
- Assist in the planning process, work with, and supervise other assigned project personnel, and coordinate the project with administrators.
This position is contingent on contract award.

REQUIREMENTS
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
- Must have one of the following combinations of degree and relevant experience as described in the "candidate's responsibilities" section of the position description:
- A Masters Degree with one (1) year of relevant experience; or
- A Bachelors Degree with three (3) years of relevant experience; or
- An Advanced Associates with five (5) years of relevant experience; or
- A High School Diploma/GED/equivalent with seven (7) years of relevant experience.
- Must be able to establish timelines, meet deadlines, and present ideas clearly to company and Government decision-makers.
- Must have a basic familiarity or experience with U.S. Department of Defense (preferably Navy or Coast Guard) processes or terminology.
- Availability Required: April 1, 2021.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Current, active Secret security clearance.
