Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION:

WWT, a small, privately held, entrepreneurial oil field Service Company seeks Product Engineer. Fifty percent (50%) of time is in direct support of major product line including preparing of engineering analyses using commercial and proprietary software. Fifty percent (50%) of time requires support to on-going internal product research R&D projects. This position is located in Anaheim, CA.

• Training program includes familiarization with oil field drilling practices, software analysis training, and multiple visits to operational oil rigs.
• Some design experience is preferred including use of software design package (Solidworks), prototyping, shop and field testing, on-going product improvement.
• Oil field drilling experience preferred.
• Spanish language proficiency desirable.
• Domestic and foreign travel may be 10%
• Must have valid passport

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Planning of assignments and projects
• Support all requests for analyses completed in timely manner
• Investigate any field failures, prepare reports, define product improvements
• Contribute to R&D of existing product lines with design, prototyping, testing, product improvement
• Contribute to manufacturing process improvement
• Effective and efficient communication inter-company, customers and vendors
• Build and sustain positive cooperative working relationships
• Assist in maintaining and or writing all QA/QC procedures.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

BS Mechanical Engineer (or similar) from major university with GPA 3.0+

EXPERIENCE:

3 - 7 years of experience

Salary negotiable based on related experience.
