    Job Description

    The Wafer Fabrication Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of equipment used in the production and testing of semiconductors. Working in a clean room environment wearing a protective suit is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of equipment used in the production and testing of semiconductors. Responsible for performing quality checks to ensure that equipment and product are safe to process.

    Responsibilities

    • Performs Load & Go operation on area equipment.
    • Performs daily checks on equipment under the guidance of trainer or when certified.
    • Working with trainer, efficiently operate equipment in an assigned functional area.
    • Adheres to all written specifications. 100% compliance for all qualified tasks. Do not perform any tasks without direction from trainer/supervision.
    • Engages in on-the-job training and development opportunities as directed by trainer to enhance skills and knowledge. Completes all assigned training on assigned equipment operation up to and including certification.
    • Complies with all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Makes effective use of idle time through equipment setup, staging of product, and lot transportation.
    • Consistent compliance to attendance and break policies. Develops positive working relationships with peers and support groups.
    • Recognizes a variety of visual and audible alarms. Must be able to distinguish between distinct types of alarms and be able to evacuate safely if necessary.
    • Abides by all protocols of working in a cleanroom environment, such as gowning, wafer handling, and other cleanroom standards. Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Basic math problem solving (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, averaging, and interpreting graphs).
    • Qualified at lot handling.
    • Basic computer skills Outlook, Word, Excel.
    • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including reading and interpreting documents such as operating specifications and procedures.
    • Sit or stand or walk for extended periods of time (up to 11 hours per shift).
    • Possess the ability to remain alert during the entire shift.
    • Reaching (above and below shoulder height, stoop, bend squat, kneel, and crouch to retrieve product, transport work and take equipment readings etc.)
    • Routinely uses 5 – 15 pounds of pushing/pulling force to move a fully loaded cart throughout the factory. Up to 30 pounds of force is needed infrequently for evasive moves.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • AS degree in science and/or college level chemistry, math, and physics

    Additional Information

    • This role will be working on site in Roseville, CA.
    • This role requires the earing of Cleanroom suits while in the cleanroom at all times.
    • This position is eligible for a 5% shift premium
    • Indefinite US work authorized individuals only. Future sponsorship for work authorization is unavailable.

    The U.S. hourly range for this full-time position is $20.00/hr- $21.00/hr. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. Your Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
