About the Role:

Sophia's Italian Restaurant is looking for energetic and friendly Wait Staff to join our team in the heart of Ocean City, MD! Responsibilities:

Greet and seat guests in a warm, welcoming manner

Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen

Deliver orders promptly and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience

Upsell menu items, specials, and beverages to enhance the guest experience

Handle cash and card transactions accurately using a POS system

Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, dining area, and service stations

Collaborate with kitchen staff and fellow servers to ensure smooth service

Requirements:

Previous serving or customer service experience preferred but not required

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays — especially during peak summer season

Must be able to stand for extended periods and carry trays

Positive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for hospitality

Must meet minimum age requirements for serving alcohol where applicable
