    THE INCUBATOR KITCHEN DELIVERED BY WAITR is a comprehensive restaurateur training program which allows aspiring chefs to develop their culinary concepts into fully-operational restaurants.

    The 24-week course was developed using the best practices of our most successful restaurant partners, years of collective restaurant experience, and current industry trends to craft a literal recipe for success. PROGRAM SUMMARY:  

    Incubator Chefs will test and refine their concepts while learning critical skills such as kitchen workflows, inventory management, and food safety regulations in our certified commercial kitchen space, complete with quality commercial grade kitchen equipment, food packaging supplies, and utensils.  

    The Waitr Incubator Kitchen program consists of two phases. Phase I is a 12-week training course designed to transform the participant's culinary vision into a profitable and sustainable restaurant operation. After completing and passing Phase I, they will be allowed to participate in Phase II, concept launch on the Waitr app.

    PHASE I OF THE INCUBATOR PROGRAM:

    Participants will learn the fundamentals of restaurant operations and business management in the classroom and the kitchen. Topics include logistics, menu optimization, inventory management, marketing, technology, sourcing, and more. Throughout the 12-week course, participants in the incubator program will have the opportunity to complete assignments, attend lectures, and compete in culinary challenges. The participants' engagement, performance, and participation will determine their graduation into Phase II of the program.

    PHASE II OF THE INCUBATOR PROGRAM:

    During the final 12-weeks of the program, participants will have the opportunity to launch their menu on Waitr. Using order data and customer feedback participants will make fine adjustments to their menu items and processes while transforming their concept into a successful virtual restaurant. The participants will be able to use the Incubator Kitchen for this phase and will be expected to be actively planning their next step in their business plan throughout both Phases.     Hourly Compensation + percentage of food sales The opportunity to turn your passion for food into a successful career! PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

    Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook (3-5 years of restaurant kitchen experience preferred)

    Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

    Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

    Familiar with industry's best practices PROGRAM ENVIRONMENT:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a restaurant environment.

    The noise level in the work environment can occasionally be loud.
