    POSITION SUMMARY

    WAITR is looking to hire an experienced HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER (HRBP).  This position reports to the Executive Director of HR  and is located in our Lafayette, LA office.  This position works collaboratively with business unit managers to provide Human Resources support.  Provides consultative guidance and coaching to managers and employees on human resources-related matters, ensuring alignment with company policies, goals, and objectives.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

    • Communicate changes to personnel policies, forms and procedures and ensure proper compliance by company personnel.
    • Act as an employee champion to maintain staff morale, communication and cooperation across the company.
    • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
    • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management.

    BUSINESS UNIT PARTNERSHIP

    • Act as key business partner focused on establishing, maintaining and developing an environment to promote positive employee relations and successful business practices.
    • Coach and counsel leaders providing tools and guidance that enable management effectiveness.
    • Support business unit managers and employees with understanding and implementing HR policies.
    • Work directly with managers to assist them with personnel matters, including hiring, promotion, corrective action, and termination.
    • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
    • Identify training needs for business units and individual coaching needs.
    • Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements within the assigned business unit.

    HR COMPLIANCE & PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION

    • Make recommendations for improvement of the employee handbook, employment policies, procedures and personnel practices.
    • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with legal support as needed/required.
    • Assist with compiling and filing the annual EEO-1 Report.
    • Manage the performance management program for the assigned business unit.
    • Assist with HR internal audits, as requested.
    • Collaborate with fellow HR teammates to develop HR programs.

    ABILITIES:

    • Must have the ability to contribute HR expertise in all functional areas. 
    • Must be “hands-on,” able to hit the ground running and be proactive and visible within the company.
    • Must be an outstanding leader, able to cultivate relationships, build trust and provide timely execution and top quality services.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • A Bachelor's degree in a related field and five-seven years of HR business partner work experience.
    • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
    • A broad range of Human Resources experiences is necessary along executing and meeting deadlines
    • Effective written and platform communication skills
    • Ability to partner effectively with various departments and interact with stakeholders across all business functions and levels
    • Advanced computer software proficiency
