The Gallery Assistance provides all Walker visitors with an engaging and exemplary guest experience to support the June 20th reopening of several galleries for the exhibition, This Must Be the Place: Inside the Walker's Collection:

This individual will support and lead the daily operations of the Gallery Assistant team and work collaboratively to improve the quality of the customer experience.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

• Serve as a Gallery Assistant, ensuring the highest level of safety, service and hospitality for Walker visitors, providing important information.
• Protect artworks, enforce visitor guidelines, and work to ensure all safety protocols are maintained.
• Actively seek opportunities to learn about Walker programming and events.
• Help ensure a welcoming, accessible, and audience-focused experience for a diverse population of visitors.
• Create and support a culture of hospitality and meaningful visitor experiences.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

• This position is considered part-time, non-exempt. As a non-exempt position, it is eligible for overtime pay. The compensation for this role is $17.39 hourly. The Walker offers a wide range of benefits for both part-time and full-time employees.
• This position is covered by the American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME) labor contract.
• This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
• All applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
