  • Responsibilities

    The Development Analyst will assist the Finance and Acquisition teams of WDG.  Primary responsibilities of this position include complex financial modeling and analysis of real estate development and investment opportunities, market research across multiple asset classes including land, retail, multifamily, medical, and residential, and supporting in the evaluation and execution of asset acquisitions, dispositions, and management.

    Candidate preferably has a background in one or more of the following disciplines: Real Estate Finance/Accounting, Investment Banking, Private Equity. 

    Candidate must have proven experience in building financial models, operating cash flow budgets, IRR calculations, and investor waterfall analysis.

    GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: 

    • Assist in underwriting of new development opportunities by building and owning complex proformas and detailed budgets
    • Prepare financing packages for new development opportunities
    • Research and analyze market trends and fundamentals to inform financial viability of existing and new projects across multiple assets classes, markets, and submarkets.
    • Assemble and manage periodic financial reporting packages for 3rd party financial partners
    • Conduct research on a variety of public financing programs and development incentives
    • Facilitate deal negotiations at various stages of the project life cycle through comprehensive review of Lease Agreements, Purchase and Sale Agreements, and Joint Venture Operating Agreements.
    • Provide support on closing processes for both new development opportunity acquisitions and asset dispositions
    • Review contractor pay applications and change order requests and assist with monthly draw processing
    • Analyze external investment opportunities and provide executive summaries and recommendations 
    • Grow to being an extension of the company to ensure relationship building across targeted markets with banks and other financial partners

           

    PAY & BENEFITS:

    • Salary Range is $60k - $90k depending on experience and relevant qualifications
