    SCHEDULE: MONDAY-FRIDAY, 40 HOURS/WEEK

    LOCATION: Portland, OR (Rockwood)

    We are looking for someone who thrives in a team environment and who is passionate about serving their community. The technical requirements for this position are:

    Required Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent training/continuing education and/or experience
    • One year of relevant experience
    • Experience creating graphs and tables to summarize raw data
    • Comfort presenting in front of an audience and explaining what the data means both to technical and non-technical users 
    • Excellent communication skills 
    • Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and Word 
    • Able to work both independently and as a member of a team 
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with people of diverse ethnic, social, economic, and cultural 
    • backgrounds
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload independently 
    • Proven ability to use critical thinking skills with attention to details 
    • Ability to quickly adapt to new technology and software, including Electronic Health Record systems

     

    Preferred Qualifications: 

    • Previous experience as a healthcare data analyst or similar role 
    • Experience with an electronic medical record, OCHIN EPIC and associated tools, SQL, and/or Tableau 
    • Advanced skills with relational databases, preferably using Microsoft Access or Crystal Reports 
    • Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio 
    • Experience developing complex spreadsheets, custom charts, dashboards, and advanced formulas 
    • Familiar with public health/epidemiological concepts and methods 
    • Experience participating on multi-disciplinary workgroups 
    • Experience with survey research methods 
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check specific to the position applied for

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    The Healthcare Analyst is responsible for supporting the clinic in meeting its external and internal data and reporting needs. These needs include federal and state reporting requirements, grant data needs and internal data needs of several types including; operations, quality, care management, and financial. They will actively participate in process improvement in the clinic, working with staff to produce dashboards, reports and other visual representations of data that are easy to understand, engaging, and visually appealing with their expertise in reporting and metrics. Duties include:

    • Use a variety of software tools and/or programming languages to meet the data and reporting needs of the clinic in an effective and efficient manner 
    • Responsible for developing and maintaining accurate and valid data reports and care management lists with a high degree of attention to detail and for determining the root cause of any data issues that arise 
    • Assists in coordinating Wallace’s Quality Improvement committee activities 
    • Works with clinic staff to design dashboards, reports, and other visual representations of clinic data to assist in meeting metric goals and improved health outcomes for patients 
    • Assists Data and Quality Manager in tracking external and internal data needs and ensuring that those needs are met in a timely and complete manner 
    • Develops expert level knowledge of metric specifications, clinic workflows around metrics, and metric goals
    • Presents and explains data reports to leadership and clinic staff during structured meetings and as needed 
    • Acts as a resource to clinic staff to answer questions, review and explain documentation, workflows and other metric details
    • Participates in ongoing process improvement projects and supports the clinic in meeting metric goals, as needed
    • Works collaboratively with partner organizations to meet shared goals 
    • Perform safe work practices to protect the health and safety of employees and patients per OSHA regulation
    • Protect individually identifiable health information per HIPAA regulations 
    • Complete all required compliance training within established timelines 
    • Other duties as assigned 
    • Most of the work is performed in a clinic and office setting
