Rheumatology Office and Infusion Center looking for F/T Experienced medical assistant/phlebotomist. Will also do prescription Medications prior authorization. The hours are 8am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.

The candidate must have a working knowledge of medication guidelines with an understanding of insurance policies.

This position requires excellent patient interacton, phlebotomy and using EPIC EMR.

Responsibilities

· Determining insurance eligibility, benefit verification and authorization requirements

· Conduct chart reviews to ensure clinical documentation meets medical necessity and medical criteria requirement

· Obtain medical records from outside referring provider / Contacting outside referral source for any clarifications needed Room patient, take vital signs, reconcile medication and problem list, get cheif complaint. Draw and process blood. Check out patients and make return appointments·

· Demonstrate the ability to act as a team player in a professional and positive manner

· Experience working with in-network and out-of-network benefits

· Proficient in basic math/Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook. and EPIC is a big plus
