    Job Description

About Walrus Meds need an upgrade. Two-thirds of Americans are taking Rx meds on a regular basis and pharmacists are the best source of support, but people don't have a good way to partner with them. Meet Walrus, everyone's personal pharmacist.

Walrus sells into employer and medicare health plans, giving everyone on the plan a personal pharmacist to help them make informed decisions about their meds. Our pharmacists navigate members through all the complexities of managing their conditions and they work with physicians to keep the whole care team in sync. Through Walrus, members manage their health, save money and improve their quality-of-life.

What you'll do We're looking for a Product UX/UI Designer to shape the member app and pharmacist software suite. Walrus is a consumer-centric brand and your focus will be to create usable, approachable solutions to help members engage with their health on the app. Additionally, you will work with our internal pharmacists to design solutions that help them manage their workflow and better serve our members.

The Product Designer will be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from user research, ideation of new features, creation of wireframes and hi-fidelity designs. Working cross-functionally with stakeholders (engineering, design, product management, end users), this person will design and ship solutions for Walrus's web and mobile applications.

    Responsibilities include:

    1. Acquire and develop understanding of customer needs and the business initiatives
    2. Lead user research to learn about user challenges and workflows
    3. Work with the product manager to drive product utilization and engagement
    4. Work cross-functionally with end users, designers, engineers and the product manager to conceptualize, design, prototype, test, and ship features for members and pharmacists
    5. Create artifacts to visually communicate designs and user interaction (wireframes, clickable prototypes, hi-fidelity designs and visual specifications for developers)
    6. Design, document, and maintain a design system
    7. QA to ensure solutions meet the design specifications
    8. Help measure the effectiveness of our features and determine how well they meet the intended objectives

    REQUIREMENTS

    1. 5+ years professional experience designing web and mobile applications.
    2. Proven track record designing and releasing successful user experiences for multiple device types and contexts
    3. Strong UX research skills
    4. Ability to prototype
    5. Ability to communicate effectively amongst various stakeholders and enough front-end development knowledge to have productive discussions with a developer
    6. Great taste and strong UI skills
    7. Ability to work within a design system and make tasteful updates as the product progresses
    8. Experience with Sketch or Figma and prototyping tools
