    Do you have a passion for creating dynamic and compelling worship experiences? Do you love leading people to worship through the context of modern music? Would you be passionate to continue to bring vision for the continued evolution of the worship experience as a context for weekly gathering at Ward Church?

    We’re looking for a leader with experience in music and media as well as recruiting and development of emerging leaders and existing volunteers to bring their passion for singing, playing, and leading a team to continue to grow our worship program at Ward Church.

    JOB SUMMARY: Lead the contemporary worship team to create a dynamic and compelling worship experience for Ward Church attenders. Responsible for overseeing the worship experience for the contemporary worship service as well as being a visionary who can support the continued evolution of contemporary worship.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience ideally in music. Especially looking for significant experience worship leading in a contemporary worship context.

    Must possess an excellent track record as a worship leader and team builder, and have an inviting and engaging presence when leading music. Must have demonstrated ability to administer and grow a music and worship program.

    Ability to recruit, train, and lead emerging leaders and volunteers

    Affirmation of the mission, vision, and values of Ward, ward.church/beliefs

    Be able to work well in a team dynamic and be able to collaborate with other staff or department

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Promote a vision of what worship should look like in a contemporary environment and how it can lead Christ followers and guests into a genuine and authentic worship experience

    Will continuously review the worship experience to ensure its relevance to the congregation and direction of the church

    Plan and create worship services that allow people to engage in a high-quality worship experience

    Recruit, train, and empower volunteers to help lead the congregation in worship

    Conduct regular music rehearsals to ensure preparedness and excellence

    Work alongside production to ensure that elements of the service (such as Ableton, ProPresenter, and other elements) are correct and ready for the weekend service

    Work Schedule: Sunday-Thursday

    Any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
