We're looking for a Ward Clerk in San Francisco who's sharp, organized, and calm under pressure. This job's all about keeping the healthcare team moving—clean records, scheduled appointments, stocked supplies, and smooth communication with residents and staff.
Keep medical charts updated and organized (both paper and digital)
Schedule and coordinate medical appointments (and help remind residents)
Support COVID screenings and vitals checks
Track and restock medical supplies and resident items
Handle admissions paperwork and monthly chart maintenance
Answer phones, relay messages, and greet visitors
Support caregivers when needed (call lights, basic care)
Maintain HIPAA and privacy standards at all times
Take part in drills and health/safety programs
Copy, file, label, email—basic admin support
CNA certificate from a state-approved school
Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Comfortable with medical terms, computers, and data entry
Able to follow written and spoken instructions
Good phone and in-person communication
Able to multitask and solve basic problems
Must pass a physical exam and TB test
Must get BLS/CPR certified within 6 months (renew every 2 years)
DOJ fingerprint clearance required
Based in San Francisco
Office, resident rooms, or shared spaces
Moderate noise levels
On your feet often—walking, standing, some lifting (up to 50 lbs)
You'll work directly with elderly and disabled residents—patience and empathy are key
Must be able to manage stress and shift gears fast
