Warehouse Associate
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced industrial distribution environment. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products while maintaining inventory accuracy, workplace safety, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and committed to delivering exceptional service through accurate order fulfillment and inventory control. Experience working with industrial products, compressed air systems, mechanical components, or technical parts is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Inventory Control
Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
Perform quantity, condition, and packaging inspections of received materials.
Accurately record inventory transactions in the ERP system.
Label, store, and organize products according to established procedures.
Participate in cycle counts and annual physical inventory activities.
Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, and damaged goods.
Order Fulfillment & Shipping
Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Verify product numbers, quantities, and shipping requirements before shipment.
Prepare shipping labels, packing lists, and related documentation.
Coordinate shipments with parcel, LTL, and freight carriers.
Load and unload trucks using appropriate material handling equipment.
Meet daily shipping deadlines while maintaining high accuracy standards.
Warehouse Organization & Efficiency
Maintain organized inventory locations and warehouse storage areas.
Assist with warehouse layout improvements and space optimization.
Keep warehouse clean, orderly, and audit-ready at all times.
Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity and accuracy.
Assist with product repackaging, kitting, and special customer requirements when needed.
Safety & Equipment Operation
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
Use proper lifting techniques and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Immediately report safety concerns, accidents, or damaged equipment.
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 5 years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn ERP and warehouse software systems.
Ability to read shipping documents, packing slips, and purchase orders.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
Experience with ERP systems such as QuickBooks Enterprise, SAP, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
Experience handling industrial, mechanical, pneumatic, or technical products.
Knowledge of inventory control and cycle counting procedures.
