    Warehouse Associate

    Department Summary

    Receive, process, organize, and distribute inventory items within the warehouse according to purchase orders and shipping schedules.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Record serial #’s on work orders and serial # log for engines, trolling motors, and depth finders.

    Locate, tag, and deliver engines to the finish department

    Restock shelves and know locations of all parts, monitor shop floor for items that need to be restocked or returned to the warehouse, be able to track down items on the shop floor.

    Stock, organize, and rotate paint racks.

    UPS/FedEx deliveries-sort, verify accurately, write missing parts or shortages, verify product is not damaged.

    Tag items for the proper personnel/department.

    Verify that the unloaded items from the trucks match the items listed in the shipping documents.

    Build kits accurately by pull sheet.

    Be able to audit kits for correct parts and quantities.

    Update shipping board after the kits are built

    Deliver kits and parts to the floor without assistance.

    Clock out of kits (after completion) and know how to read the tracker/ship schedule/production schedule when required.

    Notify lead/purchasing of items that are low in inventory.

    Update work orders as missing items are taken to finish.

    Assist in and/or load and unload trucks.

    Maintain a clean warehouse. All boxes to be broken down, discarded properly, trash picked up and discarded, no empty boxes left on shelves, help keep shelves clean and organized, all empty pallets to be removed.

    Do not receive items until they are removed from the truck (Ryerson, FedEX, UPS, AR trucks, semi trucks, etc.), verify they are not damaged.

    Pack, measure, and weigh packages for outgoing shipments.

    Assist in monitoring the consumables department.

    Perform cycle counts properly.

    Update items to backorder status.

    Verify BOM changes and root cause analysis, Audit BOMS

    Lookup inventory items in Quickbooks (when available)

    Fill in for warehouse lead when the person is absent, be able to perform in stressful situations rationally, maintain warehouse flow, be able to problem solve, be entirely self-sufficient, and require little supervision

    Able to train new warehouse employees

    Required Skills

    Exhibit trustworthiness and honesty.

    Understand and be able to demonstrate simple math-addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

    Maintain connection and communication among other employees and management.

    Recognize acceptable and unacceptable product quality, personal behavior, and productivity, and are capable of carrying out step-by-step instructions.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily in a fast-paced industrial environment.

    Capable of standing all day, no sitting down on the job; repetitive use of hands and arms. Ability to walk, climb, balance, twist, turn, grasp, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May need to work intermittently from a ladder.

    Required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently. When bending hulls need to be able to lift/move upward of 75 pounds, or 250 lbs collectively. Capable of lifting 50-75 pounds over the shoulder and outward frequently.

    Ability to work in a cold and hot work environment.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    Great socialization and communication with management, other department leads, and coworkers.

    High school or GED graduate preferred..

    Forklift/crane experience is preferred.
