Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking and motivated Warehouse Associate to join our team here at Hearth & Home. In this position, you will support the store's operations by receiving shipments, processing orders, organizing inventory and general store maintenance. The ideal candidate is a team player with experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

We are a family owned and operated fireplace, patio and BBQ retail business started in 1971. Advancement Opportunities:

For the right candidate, advancement into Fireplace Technician or Installation roles are possible and encouraged.

Responsibilities

Receive and process incoming shipments in a neat and organized fashion and inspect for damages and defects

Pull and stage product for deliveries, service calls, and installations

Load customer purchases

Assemble patio furniture and BBQ grills

Assist with deliveries

Sweep, organize, and maintain warehouse cleanliness

Empty store garbage, vacuum showroom and maintain restroom cleanliness

Qualifications

Ability to lift and move heavy merchandise safely

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed

Courteous and professional demeanor with customers and co-workers

Previous experience working in a warehouse type setting is preferred, but not required

Ability to use warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks is a plus, but not required

Familiarity with hand and power tools

Ability to work with limited supervision, problem solve and think on your feet

Current Driver’s License and good driving record

Dependable transportation and good attendance

High school diploma/GED is required

Free from the influence of any prohibited substances while on company time

Smoking and vaping are prohibited outside designated areas
