Job description – Morning Warehouse Associate

Highland Supply, Inc., est. 2010, is a family owned and operated distributor of food service disposables, sanitation supplies, as well as offering products to many restaurants, office, retail and medical facilities across the state of Michigan from our three distribution centers in Highland, Gaylord, Grand Rapids. Through superior customer service, Highland Supply has experienced significant growth year after year and we’re looking to expand our team with the addition of another morning warehouse team member.
Position
Shift Time: 5:15am - 1:00pm
Weekly Hours: This is a full time position 32+ hours per week
Pay: $17-18/hour + review at 90 days or earlier depending on performance. Room for growth based on performance. Fast learners will excel.
Job Duties:
A day in the life:
· Come join our energetic warehouse and fulfillment team inside of our 15,000 sqft facility built in 2020!
5:15am - 8am
· Utilize pick tickets to pick customer orders in a warehouse setting. Pick tickets are on paper, with bin locations for each item.
· Picking orders using a hand truck, rolling staircase, and walking around a warehouse
· Expectation is that each associate can pick a minimum of 25 orders before 8am each day
8am - rest of day
· -Assist drivers in loading orders onto trucks
· -Stock incoming products on shelves
· -Assist with general warehouse help projects
Physical Demands:
· Must be able to lift at least 40lbs off the ground
· Must be okay with spending 6-8 hours working on your feet, concrete floor.
· Must be physically able to work in warehouse conditions . Sometimes required to make a local delivery or pickup in a van
Certifications:
· Forklift certification is a plus
· Prior warehouse/fulfillment experience a plus but not required. We will train . Valid driver's license, no DUI/DWI/OWI on driving record per company auto insurance
