Southern Utility is seeking entry level Warehouse Associate to join our team. Our goal is supplying the best customer service in the upstate.

    We are seeking an energetic and motivated Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this position, you will support the warehouse operations by receiving shipments, processing orders, and storing/organizing inventory. The ideal candidate is a team player with experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

    Responsibilities

    Safely operate a sit down forklift ( order selector/ cherry picker) to pull orders.

    Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages.

    Use technology like RF devices to sort, scan and prepare orders.

    Accurately and timely receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming materials

    Clean the workspace as you go and participate with the team in keeping our facility and accident free.

    Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400lbs.

    Process incoming shipments in a neat and organized fashion

    Pull stock to fulfill and prepare orders for shipping

    Ensure orders are accurate and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction

    Inspect incoming shipments for any damages, defects, or errors

    Adhere to all health and safety guidelines

    Qualifications

    Water and Sewer Supply Industry Knowledge Preferred

    0-3 years warehouse experience in shipping, receiving, delivery or inventory preferred

    CDL License a plus

    High attention to detail, Team Player

    Ability to use warehouse equipment, including forklift, pallet jacks, and hand trucks

    Capable of standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects

    Ability to work with limited supervision and able to lift 50 lbs. safely

    Self-starter with ability to learn our system quickly

    Excellent organizational and time management skills
