Laurel Ag & Water is looking for a self-motivated, exceptional Warehouse Clerk. As a key member of the Warehouse team, the Warehouse Clerk will be responsible for picking and packing of all projects and jobs and assisting with shipping/receiving duties. This role will report to the Branch Operations Manager.
This person will be passionate about understanding our customer's needs and creating solutions that maximize their performance at Laurel. The Warehouse Clerk is expected to be a team player that lives Laurel's cultural values and sets an example for others to constantly enhance the culture.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Sales & Customer Service
- Process customer transactions and sales orders
- Deliver exceptional customer service, specializing in irrigation and agricultural products
- Increase counter sales through proactive outreach to customers regarding products and services
- Handle customer material quotes, returns, refunds, and exchanges
- Place special orders for items not in stock
- Notify customers upon order arrival
- Maintain and update customer database
Inventory & Procurement
- Monitor stock levels and generate purchase orders to resolve stockouts
- Collaborate with Purchasing for stock and project-related purchase orders
- Perform regular cycle counts in alignment with the cycle count calendar
Order Fulfillment & Material Handling
- Pick and pack materials for all new and in-progress projects
- Execute job layouts based on detail packets, including:
- Fabrication layouts
- Pump layouts
- Filter layouts
- Replenish inventory as needed to support operations
Internal Customer Support
- Manage transfer orders for branches and service departments
- Process additional material requests from the construction team
- Act as the primary point of contact for the service department
** Delivery Driver**
- Safely transport parts, pipe, pumps, equipment etc. to customers, jobsites, and vendor
- Help with loading
- Perform truck & tooling safety inspections required
- Manage organization & cleanliness of truck & all tooling
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, tools, inventory & supplies daily as to be fully prepared at all times

- Proven ability to work in team environment inside and outside of department
- Proven ability to communicate both verbally and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite including Excel
- Class C Driver
- High energy, hungry to win, patient
- Proven ability to solve problems as needed to accomplish tasks
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Must be teachable
- Forklift experience or certification
- Must be able to read/write English
- Bilingual (English and Spanish speaking)
- Ability to lift 50lbs
