    Job Description

    SALES COORDINATOR/CUSTOMER CARE FOR LOS ANGELES BASED STARTUP COMPANY

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:           

    Candidate needs to have 3-6 years of experience in Customer Care or Sales – Technology, Real Estate or Supply Chain experience is a plus. A self-motivated, independent individual is a must.

    You will need to communicate with possible tenants to help educate them and sell them into our warehouse platform. You will also be helping users who are currently on the platform solve issues and have greater success.

    The Company is a fast-paced and innovative startup focused on building a digital platform that promotes efficiency in the Supply Chain ecosystem, thereby driving value to our customers. Our platform, launching in 2017, is a two-sided marketplace that uses algorithms to best match buyers and sellers of space, driving transactions through the digital platform.

     

    JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a candidate who is an independent, dynamic and likes interacting with people. This position combines the tasks of customer service and sales with these functions:

     

    1.      RESPONDING TO SALES CALLS VIA EMAIL, CHAT, AND PHONE

    ·    Users who see our marketing will be reaching out to learn more. You will be responding to their inquiries.

    ·    You will help them understand our system and how it can help them. You’ll be sending information and setting up tours.

    ·    You will be following up on the tour results and working with the lead to close the sale.

     

    2.      INTERACTING WITH DIFFERENT INTERNAL TEAMS TO COORDINATE AND GATHER INFORMATION

    ·    You’ll be working with Facility Coordinators to schedule tours and learn about the results.

    ·    You will be reviewing reports from our Operations team to understand how much space is available to sell.

    ·    You will be working with our Marketing team to share what you’re hearing from interested leads.

    ·    You will be creating contracts and interacting with our accounting and finance team.

     

    3.      PROVIDING CUSTOMER CARE FOR OUR DIGITAL MARKETPLACE

    Warehouse Exchange is a digital marketplace which allows buyers and sellers of warehouse space to meet and transact business.

    ·    Users will send in questions and you’ll help them find a solution or understand how the site works.

    ·    You will help users who aren’t having success better use the product.

     

    4.      COMMUNICATING WITH COMPANY LEADERSHIP ON WAYS TO IMPROVE OUR SERVICE

    You will be on the front lines working with users and hearing their needs and opinions. It will be vital for you to communicate this information to the stakeholders of the company.

     

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILL SET:  

    COMMUNICATOR: Ability to effectively communicate, both verbal and written, while being front line with our customers. Prompt response to customer inquiries is a must along with the ability to anticipate their needs. Must convey confidence in the product offering and work equally well with users, company leaders, business, operations and technology teams.

    COMFORT WITH TECHNOLOGY:   Warehouse Exchange is a digital marketplace. You need to have complete comfort mastering site operations and helping users troubleshoot their problems.

    SALES SKILL:   One of the main keys to success in this role is your ability to take an interested lead and make it a sale. These leads typically come “warm” and somewhat familiar with the offering. You will need to describe the business in a friendly way and help answer their questions in a manner that closes a sale.

    SELF-MOTIVATED: The company is an early-stage business, and as such there is a spirit of comradery and cooperation. You will need to drive your own results, seek out the answers, advice and tools that you feel are needed to succeed. We’re here to help you, but you should be driven to find the answers you need.

    TEAM PLAYER: You will be interacting heavily with a variety of departments and individuals. Success will only come by using a team mentality and working for the common good.

    EDUCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

    In-depth knowledge online and traditional selling strategies.

    College degree required.

    3-6 years of experience in Customer Care or Sales – Technology, Real Estate or Supply Chain experience is a plus.

     

    Knowledge of digital marketplace platforms and marketing techniques (google ads, social media, etc) a plus.
