    OVERVIEW: The Warehouse & Facilities Technician at SILTT is a dual-focused role, primarily responsible for the complete cycle of warehouse and material handling operations, including material handling, inventory management, order fulfillment, and equipment operation. The secondary focus is on routine inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance of the facility's critical infrastructure and physical assets to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence. This includes monitoring building systems, conducting monthly safety and general upkeep tasks, and performing bi-annual and annual preventative maintenance on large equipment. This position requires a strong background in supply chain and logistics as well as technical facilities maintenance and operations.     A CALL TO ACTION: As we charge ahead in the competitive world of technology and global sustainment, we need a strong Warehouse & Facilities Technician to support our current and future projects, including the launch of our fulfillment center and support of two of our newest campus locations. This critical position will collaborate with fellow SILTT teammates and stakeholders as we continue to grow in adjacent “solutions spaces”. This Warehouse & Facilities Technician will have the opportunity to be on the ground floor and help define the trajectory of our future!

    A DAY IN THE LIFE: In this role, you will support a high-impact facility that forms the backbone of enterprise service delivery. This role provides the opportunity to modernize best practices and shape a world-class operations culture that scales globally while maintaining customer trust and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    1. Warehouse and Material Handling Essential Duties

    Warehouse & Material Handling Operations: Safely Loading & Unloading freight. Performing Freight Staging for inspection or storage. Handling shipments through Documentation (logging into WMS, checking BOL, reporting issues, coordinating returns, and capturing vendor quality data).

    Material Flow Processes: Inspecting, receiving, dispositioning, issuing, and expediting materials.

    Inventory & Organization: Organizing and labeling warehouse stocking areas. Replenishing floor stock. Conducting Inventory Counts (weekly, monthly, or annually).

    Order Fulfillment, Packaging & Labeling: Picking material per lists. Securing items, printing labels, and coordinating courier service.

    Equipment Operation: Proficient operation of forklifts and pallet jacks.

    Daily Maintenance & Housekeeping: Keeping the loading dock, trailers, yard, and warehouse floor areas clean and debris-free.

    Support Process Audits As Needed.

    1. Facilities and Preventative Maintenance Essential Duties

    Daily Tasks:

    Monitor BMS/SCADA systems.

    Monthly Tasks:

    Survey for and replace burnt-out lighting/LEDs.

    Test emergency/exit light batteries.

    Clear 36" space in front of electrical panels.

    Inspect pallet racking for damage.

    Check plumbing (toilets/faucets/floor drain P-traps) for leaks.

    Conduct visual fire extinguisher inspections.

    Check sprinkler riser pressures.

    Check the perimeter for pest entry points.

    Restock First Aid/Eye Wash stations.

    Quarterly Tasks:

    Change air filters.

    Clear AC condensate drain lines.

    Bi-Annual Tasks (Extensive Preventative Maintenance):

    Inspect belts/bearings on RTUs/Heaters.

    Clean coils.

    Grease dock levelers and clean pits.

    Inspect dock seals and bumpers.

    Lubricate overhead door tracks & rollers.

    Clean roof drains and gutters.

    Annual Tasks:

    Conduct an IR Scan of breaker panels.

    Flush the water heater to remove sediment.

    Document all inspections, preventative maintenance, service tickets, and work orders in the workflow tracking software.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Vocational, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Electrical, Mechanical, or Facilities Engineering (or equivalent experience)

    5+ years in supply chain operations environment

    Shipping/Receiving Operations: Proven experience in operations improvement and driving overall warehouse organization/efficiency

    Quality & ISO Compliance: Extensive quality experience, adherence to ISO 9001

    Experience using a WMS/ERP system, coordinating material flow, and optimizing layouts

    Comprehensive knowledge of verifying contents, managing discrepancies, and meeting compliance standards for all shipments.

    Inventory Control: Expertise in cycle counting, reconciliation, and RF scanning to maintain 99%+ inventory accuracy.

    Experience with reporting, spreadsheets, and ability to read blueprints and utilize precision tools for quality inspection roles.

    Forklift operator certification

    6+ years of experience maintaining electrical and mechanical facility systems

    Working knowledge of DC/AC distribution, HVAC operations, and building automation systems.

    Experience with BMS/DCIM monitoring tools and facility alarm systems.

    Must be able to read electrical diagrams, mechanical schematics, and equipment documentation.

    Certifications: EPA Refrigerant Handling, Electrical Safety (NFPA 70E), OSHA 10/30, or equivalent.

    Must pass background screening

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma

    Advanced Logistics & Expediting: Skilled in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and courier software (i.e. FedEx/UPS shipping platform) for effective courier management and order expediting.

    WORK LOCATION & HOURS: The work associated with this role must be performed on-site at our Leesburg Headquarters, though some travel may be required for periodic support as needed. This role typically aligns with standard warehouse operating hours. However, candidates should maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate occasional weekend shifts, early starts, or late finishes as required by essential maintenance projects or periods of extended operations.
