    Job Title: Warehouse Lead

    Department: Operations

    Job Summary:

    The Warehouse Lead oversees daily warehouse operations in our door manufacturing and millwork facility. This position plays a central role in organizing material flow, supporting production schedules, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The Warehouse Lead coordinates warehouse and production staff, monitors task execution, and ensures inventory handling standards are consistently met.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Team Coordination & Leadership

    · Guide warehouse staff through daily tasks, including material movement, staging, and cleanup.

    · Assist in training team members on warehouse procedures, equipment use, and safety expectations.

    · Monitor workflow to ensure timely support for production and order fulfillment.

    Support for Manufacturing Team

    Provide timely delivery of required materials, components, and supplies to indoor and outdoor door-building stations.

    Coordinate movement of partially assembled and completed door units between production areas and storage locations.

    Assist builders by preparing, sorting, or organizing materials such as slabs, jambs, hardware kits, and trim components.

    Communicate proactively with door builders to understand daily needs, priority builds, and production bottlenecks.

    Ensure finished doors are staged properly for curing, inspection, wrapping, or loading.

    Inbound Material Handling

    · Oversee the unloading of incoming products and manufacturing materials.

    · Ensure items are accurately documented, labeled, and routed to appropriate storage locations.

    · Communicate irregularities or shortages to the Millwork Manager promptly.

    Outbound Preparation & Load Management

    · Coordinate the staging and preparation of outgoing orders for delivery or pickup.

    · Verify that items are organized according to production and delivery schedules.

    · Support routing and loading processes to ensure timely order movement.

    Inventory Support & Accuracy

    · Maintain accurate tracking of material movement throughout the warehouse.

    · Assist with routine counts, product verification, and inventory adjustment processes.

    · Help uphold inventory standards by ensuring products remain properly identified and stored.

    Equipment Operation

    · Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and related warehouse equipment.

    · Ensure equipment is used appropriately and report maintenance needs as required.

    · Promote safe handling practices for all millwork and door components.

    Warehouse Organization & Facility Standards

    · Maintain an orderly warehouse layout to support visibility and efficiency.

    · Ensure aisles, racks, and staging areas remain clean and free of hazards.

    · Support initiatives to improve workspace organization and operational flow.

    Cross‑Department Communication

    · Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, and delivery teams to align material needs with daily priorities.

    · Provide updates to internal teams regarding product availability and workflow status.

    Safety & Compliance

    · Enforce company safety guidelines and promote safe habits among all warehouse staff.

    · Support compliance with workplace standards, equipment requirements, and facility policies.

    · Participate in ongoing safety training and improvement efforts.

    Process Execution

    · Carry out warehouse procedures as directed by the Inventory Manager.

    · Maintain consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in all warehouse activities.

    Qualifications:

    Experience:

    · Previous warehouse or logistics experience required; leadership experience preferred.

    · Background in a manufacturing, construction supply, or millwork environment is a plus.

    Skills:

    · Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.

    · Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

    · Team‑oriented mindset and ability to work independently when needed.

    Technical Proficiency:

    · Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory-related software.

    · Ability to operate or learn to operate warehouse equipment safely.

    Physical Requirements:

    · Ability to lift and move materials up to 75 lbs.

    · Ability to work on foot for extended periods and in typical warehouse conditions.

    · Must be able to pass an MVR check for occasional driving duties.
