  • Responsibilities

    The Warehouse Manager is a hands-on, working leader responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, physically active, highly accountable, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of care for high-value, fragile, and custom furnishings. This individual will lead by example, ensure operational excellence, and serve as the primary point of contact for all warehouse-related matters. Responsibilities: Warehouse Operations • Oversee receiving, inspection, labeling, photographing, and storage of incoming inventory • Verify quantities and conditions of all inbound shipments from vendors, freight carriers, and manufacturers • Ensure accurate real-time inventory tracking in warehouse and client-facing systems (Airtable) • Maintain alignment between physical inventory and system records • Manage quality control processes including damage reporting, documentation, claims coordination, and vendor communication • Pull, wrap, crate, and stage items for pickup, delivery, or installation • Oversee safe and efficient loading/unloading of trucks • Support and participate in white-glove deliveries as needed Team Leadership • Supervise warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management • Delegate daily tasks and prioritize workload to meet project deadlines • Train team members in proper handling, wrapping, crating, and storage of high-value and antique items • Foster a culture of accountability, organization, and high standards Organization & Systems • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety, and organization • Plan and execute efficient warehouse layouts to maximize space and improve workflow • Track supplies and materials; reorder as needed • Help develop, document, and refine warehouse processes and SOPs • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and cost control • Support inventory audits and operational reporting Compliance & Best Practices • Enforce warehouse safety standards and OSHA compliance • Ensure proper packing and secure transport methods for white-glove deliveries • Apply best practices for climate-appropriate storage and care of fragile or high-value furnishings • Continuously improve operational systems and workflows Qualifications: • 3+ years of warehouse management or logistics leadership experience • Experience managing and training small teams • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Comfortable with technology and inventory management systems (experience with Airtable is a plus) • Knowledge of proper handling, crating, and storage techniques for high-value items is preferred • Ability to lift and move heavy furniture and materials • Strong problem-solving skills and accountability • OSHA knowledge preferred Compensation: $20 - $25 hourly
