    Location: Buffalo, NY

    Schedule: Monday - Saturday availability required

    Position Summary

    The Warehouse Sorter/Unloader (WSU) is a team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This entry-level role focuses on sorting and processing donated goods while supporting daily warehouse operations.

    The WSU is responsible for efficiently unloading donations, identifying and removing defective items, maintaining an organized work area, and following all safety protocols. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations and supporting the overall team.

    Essential Functions

    • Unload donations from multiple trucks throughout the day
    • Sort products efficiently using warehouse equipment
    • Identify and remove defective or unsellable items
    • Create bales as needed throughout the workday
    • Assist in maintaining warehouse inventory and organization
    • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times
    • Work collaboratively with team members, leadership, and donors
    • Maintain a customer-focused approach in all tasks and interactions
    • Perform job duties accurately to support overall operational success
    • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and employee handbook guidelines
    • Support team efforts to meet department and company goals
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Education Requirements and Qualifications

    • Previous warehouse experience preferred, but not required
    • Ability to work on your feet for up to 10 hours per day
    • Ability to perform heavy lifting
    • Strong attendance and punctuality
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
    • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods (up to 10 hours per day)
    • Ability to lift and move items (boxes, bags, etc.) weighing up to 50 pounds
