One of our Clients in Corpus Christi, TX needs a Warehouse Specialist for a Part-time position.
Position: Warehouse Specialist (Part-time)
Location: Corpus Christi, TX
Clearance: Public Trust or Above
JOB DESCRIPTION
Utilize the Automated Storage Retrieval System (ASRS) to perform the stow, pick and issue process.
Work involves verifying materials against receiving documents; researching and correcting discrepancies; routing material to the prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing material in accordance with (IAW) prescribed storage methods; selecting material from the ASRS trays and pallets issuing to the designated work center; manifesting material in the DSS as required; and, physically delivering and picking up material at the work centers.
Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) that includes a forklift (up to 6K) and a warehouse tractor (4K) and warehouse trailers.
Use LMP, DSS, the ASRS/HK Data Base (HKDB), ESPS, ETIDS, and FEDLOG in the performance of the work assigned.
Unload and load carrier shipments and inspect for damages all property delivered to the warehouse. Verify quantities and check the shipments for visual damage, before accepting the shipment.
Distribute property as mandated by the contract, stage and package property using the appropriate packaging standards when required. Load property onto scheduled carrier’s vehicle(s).
Fill out the designated sections of the electronic forms within 2 hours after all loading activities are completed, with a minimum accuracy rate of 98%.
Remove from the warehouse and dispose of all dunnage/ packaging materials no less frequently than weekly.
Store property consistent with industry best practices, appropriate Federal/State Regulations, and/or Original Equipment Manufacturer’s (OEM) standards (where applicable).
Participate in annual audits in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, with a 98% accuracy rate. Remove property from shelves/racks/bins and arrange it to allow for barcode scanning by Government personnel. Return property to its original location after scanning.
Perform disposal activities upon receipt of Department of Defense (DoD) DD-1348-1a stage, segregate, unpack, and remove all markings identifying the owner, and all hazardous markings.
Retain copies of the turn-in forms for pending disposal actions.
Provide assistance to the company (typically the equipment manufacturer) designated by CCAD to dissassemble, remove and dispose of hazardous materials within Government Property.
Document the contents of each vehicle (e.g. item, serial number, if applicable, quantity, etc.) when loading dispositioned property.
Requirements:
Citizen or legal resident of the United States.
Highschool diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, speak, and proficiently communicate using the English language in oral and written communications.
Ability to work independently and well with others in a team environment.
Possess the experience and proficiency necessary to work with the latest version of MS Office Suite necessary to perform the requirements set forth in this PWS.
Be capable of standing, bending, lifting, and walking for the majority of the day. Contractor personnel shall be capable of lifting and carrying moderately heavy material (up to 60 lbs.).
Previous experience in property management and warehouse operations preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to learn Property Management Systems.\
Pass a controlled substance screening test prior to performing work on this Contract.
