Job Title: Warehouse & Logistics Specialist (Industrial/Offshore)
Location: Katy, TX Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly (40 hrs/week) Experience: 3–5 Years
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, high-energy Warehouse Specialist to join our client's growing organization. This is not a "standard" box-moving role; you will be handling critical spare parts and components for large-scale industrial, marine, and offshore oil and gas projects.
The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in shipping and receiving but is looking for a "career home". You will work closely with Buyers and the Spare Parts Manager to ensure that products and parts are arriving correctly, and also properly being shipped out for project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving: Manage the physical flow of goods, including heavy industrial parts. Generate FedEx, UPS, and freight labels, ensuring all documentation for domestic and international delivery is flawless.
Inventory Control: Maintain an organized warehouse environment. Conduct cycle counts and ensure the ERP system reflects real-time stock levels.
Collaboration: Act as a bridge between the warehouse and the office. Partner with Procurement/Buyers to track incoming POs and assist the Spare Parts Manager with urgent project requirements.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts to load/unload flatbeds and containers.
Logistics Coordination: Arrange deliveries and coordinate with freight forwarders for offshore-bound cargo.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: 3–5 years of warehouse/logistics experience (Industrial or Marine sectors preferred).
Certification: Must hold a valid Forklift Certification.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in shipping software (FedEx Ship Manager, etc.) and basic Microsoft Excel. Experience with an ERP/Inventory system is a major plus.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the "sense of urgency" required in the Offshore Oil & Gas or Marine industries.
Soft Skills: A "willing to learn" attitude. We are looking for someone who asks "why" and wants to understand the broader supply chain.
