Job Title: Junior Production Mechanic/Warehouse Technician
Schedule: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM) or 2nd Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM), Monday through Saturday
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $21.00/hour (based on experience)
Overtime: Paid at time and a half
Job Summary
The Junior Production Mechanic/Warehouse Technician is responsible for ensuring all production equipment operates efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime to support continuous operations. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs while maintaining a strong commitment to food safety and workplace safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on production machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues, diagnose equipment malfunctions, and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime
- Repair or replace defective components, parts, and systems in a timely manner
- Monitor equipment during operation to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
- Adjust machinery settings to support production goals and improve output
- Ensure all equipment meets safety and regulatory standards
- Follow all company safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and adherence to lockout/tagout protocols
- Identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment hazards to leadership
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize disruptions and maintain workflow
- Communicate equipment status, issues, and repair needs effectively with team members and management
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using tools and working with machinery
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
