    Our main center of gravity is in the Pittsburgh area, and we have teams located in RI and CO. This position can be remote or in-person.

    Job description:

    We're looking for a senior-level Robotics Engineer to lead full-stack autonomy development including perception, localization, navigation, and task optimization. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse set of robotics challenges ranging from control of large construction equipment, drone navigation and planning autonomous jet-ski perception, 3D scene reconstruction, and self-driving off-road vehicles. You will work with a strong team of scientists and engineers to help drive critical architecture decisions within our machine learning and computer vision pipeline

    What You’ll Do:

    • Lead, design and optimize implementation of cutting-edge localization and path planning systems for off-road vehicles.
    • Enhance unified back end architecture that coordinates tasking for multi-platform autonomy behaviors across a wide variety of UGV's and UAV's
    • Simulate scenarios using tools such as Gazebo, Stage, ANVEL.
    • Work with other team members (inside and outside of Neya) to provide ROS-compatible datasets for communication within the target architecture
    • Lead in the development and implementation of unit testing of code using simulation tools and actual hardware.
    • Identify new opportunities to deploy autonomy, target customers and customer engagement

    What We’re Looking For:

    • M.S. Robotics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, etc. or equivalent in industry experience
    • 7+ years of relevant industry experience
    • Proficient in implementing SLAM systems
    • Highly skilled in writing production quality object-oriented code in Linux/C++
    • Proficient with modern software principles, architecture, and design
    • Excellent mathematical reasoning skills, especially with probability
    • Proficient with unit testing suites such as GTest, CppUnit
    • Expert understanding of Agile software development cycle and development methodology
    • Extensive experience with sensor data processing sensor error modeling, environment modeling, and simulation tools
