Headquartered in in Ridgecrest, California, they provided products and services to the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and private industry.

    Program Description:

    This program provides Information Technology Support Services II (ITSS II) at the National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA).

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Coordinates, develops, and evaluates security programs for an organization.
    • Identifies, reports, and resolves security violations.
    • Establishes and satisfies information assurance and security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.
    • Supports customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies.
    • Performs analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures.
    • Analyzes and defines security requirements for computer systems which may include mainframes, workstations, and personal computers.
    • Performs vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
    • Ensures that all information systems are functional and secure.
    • Performs under the general supervision of more senior personnel.

    Specific position requirements include:

    • Daily operation of a large Enterprise BigFix environment and related duties, including but not limited to monitoring service tickets, troubleshooting and remediation, and user access request processing.
    • Analysis, troubleshooting, and remediation of BigFix client and relay communication issues in a large, multi-site environment or related.
    • Development, implementation, documentation, execution, and maintenance of a reliable and repeatable patch management process utilizing BigFix and other remediation tools.
    • Development, maintenance, modification, enhancement, and troubleshooting of custom BigFix Fixlets utilizing the Relevance language.
    • Technical support and troubleshooting of user community BigFix-related issues
    • Development, enhancement, and maintenance of BigFix reports.
    • Development and maintenance of technical documentation and drawings.
    • Troubleshooting complex technical issues in a mixed Windows, MacOS and Linux environment.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced, interrupt-driven environment; quality-driven, thorough and communicative.
    • Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and changing requirements.
    • Minimum one year of experience with HCL BigFix Relevance Language or related tool.
    • Minimum one year of experience performing system and security administration in Windows, Linux, or VMware environments, including troubleshooting, installation, configuration, patching, and system performance monitoring and availability.

    Education and Work Experience Requirements:

    • 3 years or one year with BA/Bs
    • BA/BS degree in a related discipline, experience may substitute for education
    • Proven background in Computer Security technology functional areas.
    • Experience with commonly used computer Operating systems, networking technologies, system administration techniques, and familiarity with basic scripting languages. Familiarity with Government IT Security policies and processes (such as the NIST 800-53 family of controls) is highly desirable.
