    Location: Full Remote – Must be local to D.C. Metro for occasional visits to Ashburn, VA HQ (After COVID)

    Our great client is searching for a hands-on Director of Contracts to support all aspects of contracts and subcontracts. Great company with lots of growth! The ideal candidate will be extremely detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities. This position will start as Part-Time but will grow into a Full-Time position as the company grows.

     

    Required experience:

    • Previously employed by a small or mid-sized government contractor
    • Managed entire contracts lifecycle, from award or signing until final disposition
    • Excellent knowledge of the FAR, DFARs, and other agency supplementals

    Duties:

    • Manage agreement expiration dates and request updates timely
    • Work with Accounting Department on funding, spend, etc.
    • Generate, receive, review, edit/modify, negotiate, and manage NDAs, Teaming Agreements, 1099 contracts, subcontracts, authorizations to proceed (ATP), GSA Schedules and memoranda of understanding (MOU).
    • Regular and proactive interface and effective collaboration is required with program, technical and operations departments in order to provide guidance and direction based upon the requirements of the contracts,
    • Plan and execute successful contract negotiations of a complex nature and achieve favorable terms and conditions
    • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills to resolve complex problems and minimize risk to the Corporation
    • Redline and edit contract language, suggest alternate terms based on the needs of the engagement/stakeholder, as needed.
    • Proactively update templates that conform to the latest rules, regulations, and laws.
    • Act as a liaison for all contractual matters, and oversee closure to all contractual issues
    • Ensure customer relationships are strong and well managed
    • Develop and implement policies, processes and procedures
    • Reviews and approves contractual documents for protection of the company's contractual/risk posture, satisfaction of contractual requirements, and adherence to company policies
    • Organize and keep track of all documents electronicall

    Required Qualifications:

    • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a government security clearance.
    • Candidate must be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
    • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
    • Expert skills in Microsoft Excel and proficient in other Microsoft products
