    The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

    The Strategic Systems Analysis Group (SSAG) supports government and private sector strategic planning, decision making, and program management. SSAG integrates deep client knowledge, advanced analytics, and subject matter expertise to provide timely and objective technical, operational, programmatic, acquisition, and policy analysis. SSAG supports Navy SSP for the Nuclear Sea-Launched Cruise Missile Program and is hiring for a Lead Systems Engineer for the Program.

    Responsibilities:

    Support the Navy SSP customer in a fast paced environment with execution of the Systems Engineering Life Cycle for the Nuclear Sea-Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM-N) Program. Oversee the systems engineering technical and technical management processes for a Major Defense Acquisition Program beginning with requirements and architecture development, technology development, design, integration, testing, verification, and validation. Lead the systems engineering team in the coordination and oversight for the development of multiple subsystems being executed by multiple different organizations across the DoN Acquisition Enterprise ensuring that all aspects of the system design, test, production, infrastructure, and product support elements are appropriately designed and ready for operational deployment to the Submarine force. Chair multidisciplinary working groups, providing vision, direction, and oversight for the execution of the systems engineering process. Provide quality assurance for all deliverables and for the system level technical data package. Oversee the implementation of Digital Engineering processes and methods throughout the system design process to enable improved process efficiency, design coherence, and management of authoritative design data.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Engineering.
    • Active SECRET or higher DoD security clearance.
    • 15+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Design Engineering, Test and Evaluation (Note: Weapon System operations can account for up to 3 years of experience).
    • Experience with Underwater Launch, Software Development, or Missile/Aerodynamic designs and operations.
    • Experience in developing requirements and system architectures using stakeholder inputs and values, along with prior system requirements.
    • Experience in managing or executing Modeling and Simulation tasks to evaluate weapon system performance, design specifications, system operations, etc.
    • Experience with leading complex system design activities with demonstrated ability to identify critical system design decisions, and timing needs for those decisions.
    • Experience managing 10+ direct reporting employees.
    • Experience briefing highly complex information, processes and products to Flag and Senior Executives.
    • Experience using data analytics to understand and make data informed decisions through the use of descriptive statistics, predictive modeling, data visualization, etc.).
    • Experience with executing DoD Acquisition programs.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Active DoD TOP SECRET security clearance.
    • Experience with Navy weapon system acquisition programs.
    • Experience with Nuclear or Conventional Missile Development programs.
    • Experience with the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), or Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) systems engineering processes and systems.
    • Experience with implementation of Model-Based Systems Engineering processes and methods.
