  • Responsibilities

    Key Role: Provide operational experience in the evaluation and comprehension of strategies, plans, and policies and future concepts for operations throughout the DoD, Military Service, and other government agencies. Coordinate with internal staff sections and technical offices and external organizations and agencies to ensure that DoD program managers are aware of the technological needs of the DoD, Military Services, and other government agencies and have access to those organizations. Provide operational experience to analysis of technological solutions for DoD, Military Service, and other government agency operational challenges, current capability gaps, future shortfalls, and integration with the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS). Provide expertise by way of analyses, recommendations and draft products in the development of written and oral presented to senior DoD, Military Service, and other government agency leadership and staff. Travel as part of liaison team during visits to DoD installations and organizations, as required, to represent DoD at selected science and technology activities and meetings with Army stakeholders. Provide expertise and recommendations to DoD program managers and staff and DoD, Military Service, and other government agencies on developing Memoranda of Agreement and Memoranda of Understanding in support of mutually beneficial activity.

    Basic Qualifications:

    -10+ years of experience with DoD or Military Service

    -10+ years of experience with military operations

    -Experience as a staff officer within Headquarters Department of Defense, Military Service, or Combatant Command -Experience with the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS)

    -Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and common Service-specific Web functions or use

    -Knowledge of the service’s organizational culture and structure -Ability to translate warfighter needs and articulate capability gaps -Ability to discuss current and projected acquisition programs within the respective service

    -TS/SCI clearance

    -BA or BS degree

    Additional Qualifications:

    -Experience with performing these functions directly in support of DoD

    -Experience with performing these functions directly in support of Military Service

    Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
