Qualifications:

Some knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other components commonly found in heavy haul trucks.

Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Have a class B CDL license or better. (Preferred)

Responsibilities:

Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on heavy haul trucks, including but not limited to oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and tire rotations.

Inspect trucks for signs of wear, damage, or potential issues, and address any problems promptly to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including parts used, services performed, and hours worked, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following lockout/tagout procedures.

Assist with other maintenance and repair tasks as needed, including emergency repairs and on-call duties.
