    Jackson Tumble Finish is hiring a Wastewater Maintenance Technician II. A Wastewater Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance of equipment and systems within a wastewater treatment facility to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

    Job Purpose

    To maintain and repair machines, pumps, piping, buildings, and vehicles associated with water pollution control assets to ensure continuous plant operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance on specialized machinery including pumps, motors, valves, blowers, aeration systems, and clarifiers.

    Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose malfunctions in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems; disassemble, replace parts, and reassemble equipment as needed.

    Facility Operations Support: Monitor systems, gauges, and meters to identify operational variances; assist plant operators with treatment processes and chemical dosage adjustments.

    System Inspections: Conduct regular quality control checks and inspections of tanks, wet wells, and collection systems.

    Facility & Grounds Upkeep: Perform general building maintenance, including painting, plumbing, and landscaping; ensure facility cleanliness and structural integrity.

    Recordkeeping: Maintain detailed logs of repairs, parts inventory, and meter readings using manual or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    Technical Proficiency: Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, welding, electrical troubleshooting (including 3-phase systems), and reading blueprints or technical manuals.

    Education: High school diploma or GED; technical certification in mechanical or electrical fields is highly preferred.

    Certification: A Class II or Class C (or higher) Wastewater Treatment Operator License is required.

    Licenses: Must possess a valid driver’s license; ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) and state-certified wastewater operator or maintenance licenses.

    Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50–100 lbs., climb ladders, and work in awkward positions.

    Working Conditions

    Requires on-call availability for night, weekend, and holiday emergency response.

    This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.
