Red Bird Boats owns and operates Freedom Boat Club of Ohio (Lake Erie, Buckeye Lake, and Cincinnati), Freedom Boat Club of Pittsburgh, and boat dealership Nautical Options in Lorain, OH.

Our fleet of boats includes multiple brands and boat styles ranging from center consoles, dual consoles, bow riders, and tritoons. Every year we retire a significant percentage of our fleet and all of those boats are brought to our service center in Lorain where they undergo a complete systems check and servicing as well as addressing any significant cosmetic issues so that when they hit the sales lot they are ready to hit the water.

All of our used boats are sold with a 6-month extended warranty, and you can upsell 1,2, or 3 years of extended protection.

We are also the authorized dealer for a number of brands, so we have the ability to sell new boats either custom ordered for the buyer or brought in specifically for retail sale.

We are looking for an outstanding Sales Professional for our dealership to help get these well-maintained boats into the hands of buyers who can’t wait to get on the water.

If you have been in the marine industry for several years and have a proven successful boat sales record, then this could be the position for you.

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with the public who call from all over the US to gain access to our inventory of high-quality new and used boats.

This position offers great opportunity for rapid advancement within our company.

Primary duties and responsibilities, not limited to:

Sales

Maintain constant flow of prospects through our DMS, BoatTrader, Social Media, and boat shows.

Provide quality product information by phone and email to customers who are looking for their next boat

Successfully close sales transactions

Prepare and process appropriate paperwork to complete the sale transaction

Ensure the boat is ready for final delivery

Take ownership of the sales process from end to end including long-term follow-up with buyers who are ready to upgrade.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of boat sales experience preferred

Must be qualified to haul boats from the shop to the ramp to conduct sea trials

Must be able to pass a DOT physical

The position is typically Tuesday through Saturday

Must be a team player

Proven sales ability and track-record in the marine industry

Advanced knowledge of boats, motors, and general marine terminology

Strong computer usage ability (everything is computerized)

Must be highly motivated to increase sales and earn commissions

May be required to work more than 40 hours, weekends, and holidays

Compensation: $80,000 - $150,000 Commission based.
