    A detail oriented culinary leader who will be a hands-on mentor in the kitchen with the ability to adapt quickly to changes and create an amazing experience for both our guests and our staff. You will assist all culinary operations, providing insight and guidance to every member of the kitchen staff, assist with the development of seasonal menus and specials and work closely with the Executive Chef and corporate culinary and operations teams to further the success of the restaurant. You have expertise in cooking techniques, financial reporting, inventory control, labor cost management, an impeccable eye for detail, and a high level of professionalism.

    You will supervise and assist the planning, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation.

    Job Summary

    Assigns tasks to subordinate employees

    Ensures that all sales and operations run smoothly

    Responds to customer inquiries and complaints

    Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders.

    Supervise food prep and cooking.

    Check food plating and temperature.

    Establish portion sizes.

    Schedule kitchen staff shifts.

    Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed.

    Responsibilities

    Make sure great-tasting, high-quality food is served and resolve food quality issues.

    Managing food safety which includes: Ensuring hand washing and glove changes, monitoring time and temperature of service items, enforcing the food safety policies and procedures

    Resolving customer incidents and working to ensure positive customer experiences

    Managing crew breaks, shift changes, shift meetings, and scheduling of kitchen employees

    Developing and cross-training all kitchen employees. Assisting with the resolution of performance issues. Training and developing future managers.

    Managing daily and weekly cleaning of all kitchen facilities

    Provide timely, honest feedback to both the trainer and the trainee. Coach and provide feedback in the moment.

    Work lunch, dinner, and weekend shifts each week.

    Ensure tool utilization is enforced (Prep Sheet, Recipe Cards, Ordering Guides) to deliver excellent food quality and guest service.

    Ensure the prep and cooking of all food according to our procedures.

    Communicate restaurant focus metrics with all kitchen employees.

    Execute under 15-minute ticket times. Diagnose and provide a plan of action when not met.

    Attain food costs and labor targets daily.

    Ensure low waste costs by properly prepping and training kitchen staff.
