Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities – Waterjet Operator
- Set up, program, and operate CNC waterjet cutting machines for metals, plastics, composites, and stone.
- Interpret blueprints, CAD files, and work orders to ensure part accuracy.
- Adjust, maintain, and troubleshoot waterjet equipment to ensure consistent operation.
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality assurance.
- Load/unload raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Accurately record production data, job notes, and maintenance logs.
- Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and quality teams to meet specifications and deadlines.
Requirements – Waterjet Operator
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of CNC or waterjet cutting machine experience (training provided for motivated candidates).
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Preferred Qualifications – Waterjet Operator
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming.
- Knowledge of cutting various materials and techniques.
- Forklift or material handling experience.
