Taylor University is seeking applications of candidates for MAJOR AND PLANNED GIFTS ASSISTANT. This is a fULL-TIME, 12-MONTH, NON-EXEMPT position located in Upland, Indiana. Resumes will be accepted until the position is filled.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Supply the Major and Planned Gifts Team, Regional Directors of Development, Prospect Research Coordinator, and the Executive Director of Campaigns the support they need to accomplish the goals that are set for the department.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree preferred
Required Skills
Provide administrative assistance to the Major and Planned Gifts Team
Provide support as needed for the Executive Director of Campaigns, Regional Directors of Development, and Prospect Research Coordinator
Prepare letters to annuity and unitrust donors, 2 times a month
Update and maintain Bishop William Taylor Society membership
Assist Alumni Office with 50th class reunion at Homecoming communication and serve as liaison for 50th reunion during HFW
Coordinate the Bishop William Taylor Society/Council of 100 reception at Heritage Weekend
Coordinate other events and projects as needed
Reconcile credit card statements for the major and planned gift employees
Track expenses of RDDS and report running budget to AVP
Coordinate various mailings throughout the year
Run monthly budget reports and verify large expenditures
Process expense reports, bills, check requests, and request budget transfers with Business office
Annuities/ Trusts/ TU as Beneficiary: variety of tasks including when an annuitant dies; or opening of new annuity, track deferred annuity payment updates, etc…
K-1 and 1099 Tax documents for those with trusts or annuities
Complete state registrations for Taylor University and Taylor University Foundation to solicit funds and/or offer charitable gift annuities
Communicate with MPG Team and other campus hosts for Executive Speaker Series scheduling
Prepare monthly birthday cards for team members to send
Coordinate scheduling for staff
Order office supplies, brochures, promotional items, etc.
Answer phones
Provide notary services
Back up to the Administrative Assistant to the VP for Advancement
Carry out any other duties as directed
