WAREHOUSE RECEIVING ASSOCIATE – ANVIL INTERNATIONAL & SMITH COOPER INTERNATIONAL

Reporting directly to the Inbound/Inventory Control Supervisor, the Receiving Warehouse Associate’s primary responsibility is to receive and store of all materials received in order to ensure smooth and consistent operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Unload materials received into the receiving department and ensure that materials are staged properly for counting and inspection.
• Verify that the contents of the shipments received are correct and that no items are damaged.
• Manage the flow of paperwork from receiving to the inventory control department for timely data entry.
• Operate forklift to move materials to appropriate areas
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures and utilizing appropriate equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations in responsibility area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills Required Experience

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior experience in a distribution environment using an RF scanner is highly preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience with forklift operation, specifically a cherry picker and sit down is required and be certified or become certified.
• Knowledge of products carried by the company, pipes, valves, and fittings, is highly preferred

• Ability to work effectively in a high transaction volume, fast paced environment
• Possess positive team attitude and “can-do” approach.
• Basic knowledge of computers to retrieve orders
• Good customer service skills
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed to meet department needs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 65 pounds without injury or harm.
• Ability to push and pull up to 65 pounds in weight.
• Excessive walking and prolonged standing.
• Repetitive reaching, lifting, pulling and pushing.
• Repetitive kneeling, stooping, bending, and squatting.
• Ability to climb stairs.
• Forceful gripping, grasping, and twisting.

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related filed. Minimum 3 years experience in Marketing or Public Relations. Experience in fundraising desired. Prior grant writing preferred
