Waterworks Aquatics is a premier swim school that teaches children ages 3 months through adult how to swim. Our mission is to educate and motivate individuals to be safer and learn proper swimming technique.
Job Description:
As an Accounting Associate for Waterworks Aquatics, you will provide basic bookkeeping assistance, such as data entry and account reconciliation. You will be responsible for supporting the operations of the accounting department.
Primary Responsibilities:
Revenue Accounting
Reconcile prior day payments – cash, check and credit card
Process Refunds
Expense Report Review & Audit
Assist office staff in client account issues
Assist in Month-End Closing, Accruals & Reporting
Create and Maintain Excel Spreadsheets
Compile and distribute Periodic Reports
Collaborate with supervisors and other accounting associates to complete various accounting and administrative tasks
Coordinate weekly bank deposits with various locations
General Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
Competency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
Showcase a grasp of basic accounting principles and practices
Possess a student mentality and show a willingness to take on more responsibility
General math skills and an aptitude for numbers
Excellent time management, analytical and organizational skills
Attention to detail and thoroughness
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to showcase honesty, integrity and confidentiality
Ability to work in person out of Irvine location
