The ideal candidate is an exceptionally organized, methodical professional who has the experience necessary to take our products to the next level regarding the accuracy, security, and safety. They will be charged with developing a complete QA program that not only safeguards product quality but also fosters a culture in which all employees become actively engaged.

    A strong understanding of WordPress and a methodology for testing websites across all devices. Speed, ADA compliance, and security must all be the basics of every website we publish. You must have an eye for design intent and a deep knowledge of Adobe XD.

    YOUR MISSION

    Research. Ideate. Concept. Collaborate with strategists, designers, developers, and senior leadership. Write position statements, leading messages, web copy (longform and short), social posts, pitches, sales sheets, articles, whitepapers, spec work—you get the point. Use our systems. Follow our processes. Flex when needed.

    In particular, within Watson Creative, the Sr. Brand Writer role is to be prepared to wear numerous hats. We're a small agency and no one is above writing an email. A really good email. Or a process. Or proofing an RFP. Or writing the RFP.  Also, 

    • Interpret, build upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards
    • Carefully maintain a complaint and nonconformance processing through records and tracking systems, including root cause and corrective actions
    • Document quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits
    • Develop new standards for production and design, with improvements as needed, and create testing protocols for implementation across all service lines
    • Identify training needs and take action to ensure company-wide compliance
    • Pursue continuing education on new solutions, technologies, and skills.
    • Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of products to confirm quality and conformance to specifications and deliverables
    • Assist operations in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels as well as CSR, environmental, and health and safety goals/KPIs
    • Analyze and investigate product complaints or reported quality issues to ensure resolution in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
    • Develop or update company procedures to ensure capture, investigation, and proper documentation of complaints
    • Monitor risk-management procedures, and maintain problem logs for identifying and reporting issues to management and product development
    • Provide training and support to the quality assurance team that includes systems, policies, procedures, and core processes
    • Manage the Q/A process during the development phase, but also upon launch and maintenance. 
    • Additionally, be able to help with Data Entry using the CMS system to add content, create pages, etc..

     

    YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

    • Five years or more working as a Q/A specialist
    • Professional certification such as Six Sigma, CQE, or CQA 
    • Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
    • Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices, and defect management practices
    • Highly organized, problem solver, and self-driven
    • Passionate about the work, the team, and our clients. Have a voice!
    • Excellent written and spoken communicator
    • Ability to formulate feedback in a constructive manner
    • Ability to interface with our team in a highly professional manner
    • Comfortable with ambiguity, fluidity, and client requests for revisions
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure
    • Ability to wear multiple hats, including working outside of this job description
    • A solid and well-developed sense of integrity
    • Excellent organizational skills
