    Stockwell's Clerk – Part Time

    Overview

    Wavetronix is seeking an individual to participate in creating and then filling the role of Stockwell's clerk. Stockwell's general store is home to the Hobble Creek Square visitor welcome experience, a celebration center with an old-time soda fountain, and a hobby store that will bring the Wavetronix community together around shared interests. The clerk will be responsible for carrying out the day-to-day visitor experience. This person is very outgoing and loves to get people together. They care for anyone who walks in the door, hoping to strengthen their connection to Hobble Creek Square and the people who work here.

    A successful candidate for the role will have outstanding interpersonal and listening skills, be able to contribute to healthy team dynamics whether as a team member or as an internal consultant, be able to develop proposals that will be subjected to extensive feedback and modification and be comfortable synthesizing complex and changing information about the company and its resources.

    • Strong personal and group task management skills.

    • Experience using business software such as Microsoft Office.

    • Ability to utilize technology-based systems and processes.

    First ninety days

    • Attend on-going discussions about the role and priorities of Stockwell's with a view to develop an understanding of the values embedded in the project.

    • Start building working relationships with the Hobble Creek Living and Talent Management teams.

    • Develop an initial familiarity with the services which might eventually be offered in Stockwell's.

    • Help facilitate a birthday celebration experience.

    • Filling and arranging balloon bouquets.

    • Assisting children in selecting birthday books.

    • Develop an understanding of the physical spaces for Stockwell's.

    • Learn the names and faces of current employees.

    • Greet guests to the campus in a prompt and friendly manner.

    • Notify on-site members of visiting guests to Hobble Creek Square.

    • Tracking inventory and reporting amounts to the Stockwell's Manager and Merchandiser

    • Assisting with events as needed.

    • Maintaining a clean and orderly store environment as outlined by the Stockwell's manager.

    First year

    • Sponsoring/attending events with Stockwell's branded pop-ups.

    • Operating the point-of-sale for purchases.

    • Providing information to guests

    • Campus maps

    • Eateries

    • History, design, etc.

    • Campus tours

    • Events & programs (e.g. scouts)

    • Clubs

    • Resolving guest/member concerns with patience, kindness and empathy.

    • Complete the Wavetronix New Employee Development Program.

    • Assist in identifying and implementing event planning software.

    • Live the Stockwell's brand

    • Learn names & strive to remember visitors

    • Open the Stockwell's store to all visitors at Hobble Creek Square.

    • Following established guidelines for interacting with children.

    • Restocking store items.

    • Providing feedback on merchandise success (customer feedback, experience, impact).

    • Creating/assembling in-store retail displays as outlined by the Merchandiser.

    • Creating/assembling window displays as outlined by the Stockwell's Manager.

    • Wearing brand appropriate attire (uniform) while working in the Stockwell's store.

    Beyond the first year

    • Building community by assisting members in selecting gifts for celebrations/condolence, thank you, etc.

    • Based on a developing understanding of the needs of visiting individuals, refine Stockwell's services.

    • Assist in scaling the celebration program such as retirement, new babies, etc.

    • Become known as someone who can be trusted to follow through on needs and projects.

    • Enroll in and actively participate in Wavetronix continuing education programs for personal and professional development.
