    Springville, Utah, United States Part-Time (20-30 hours), NOT benefited

    Position Overview

    Wavetronix, is seeking a part-time instructor on their Talent Development Team. Instructors will come to know individual employees and invite them to learn and apply skills, mindsets, and behaviors that will enable rewarding careers and foster personal development. They become masters of the content they teach as they continually increase their knowledge and application of course principles and develop teaching skills. Instructors will participate in coaching a few employees to inform, improve, and align classroom instruction and to effectively create learning transfer experiences for employees.

    Content Overview

    Current Courses Taught: Wavetronix Thrive Curriculum, Work Elevated [RP1] (Getting Things Done), Outward Mindset, Covey's Seven Habits, The Speed of Trust, Crucial Conversations, Emotional Intelligence, Self-Leadership, Situational Leadership II, and others.

    Desired Characteristics

    We believe the best instructors genuinely care about people and desire to help them. They are able to relate to and work with all kinds of people exhibiting empathy and an ability to inspire growth. They have a passion for teaching, learning, and self-improvement. They have a desire and willingness to internalize and apply course principles until they become a part of them and master the concepts. Our Talent Development Team is aspiring to develop these characteristics individually and are committed to helping others as well. We are looking for someone who shares our vision of personal development in the following areas:

    Skills

    • Passionate about teaching and learning for self-improvement, increasing capacity to help others

    • Able to draw on a variety of teaching methods to adapt content to specific learners needs

    • Able to learn and utilize a variety of learning technology tools such as Microsoft Office products, a learning management system, audience polling software, Adobe Connect, Quizlet, etc.

    • Able to speak and write clearly to communicate ideas and concepts

    • Adept at engaging an audience for learning, inviting personal reflection and application

    • Uses and builds on past teaching experiences (including, but not limited to, K-12, college, university, corporate, or community groups) to continually improve teaching abilities and effectiveness

    • Draw on past leadership opportunities (including, but not limited to, leading teams, individuals or community groups) to continue developing leadership skills and attitudes

    • Contribute to content development through feedback from classroom experiences with content.

    • Able to learn new content to be able to teach with a focus on business outcomes.

    • Work with optimism and diligence to achieve objectives

    • Have the mentality that everyone is capable of, and in the process of, learning and growing

    • A willingness to innovate to find the most effective ways to deliver content and run processes

    Successful instructors will accomplish the following:

    First 90 Days

    • Complete company onboarding and gain an understanding of Wavetronix's mission and employees

    • Co-create role specific onboarding success plan with manager

    • Become familiar with course content and begin facilitator certifications

    • Develop relationships with Talent Development team members and understand program initiatives to align teaching with all development efforts

    • Start learning our Thrive content and participate in development and proto typing

    Year 1

    • Begin teaching assigned courses

    • Contribute to a collaborative and unified mindset and culture among instructors that brings about teaching growth and improved classroom experience for employees

    • Collaborate with team members to create alignment between programs to create positive and effective learning transfer experiences for individuals, teams, and leaders

    • Identify opportunities for self-growth and work to achieve that growth

    • Continue learning and participating in the development of Thrive Content and proto typing.

    • Begin coaching employees

    Beyond Year 1

    • Teach assigned courses and become a master of the content

    • Engage with and influence other groups within Wavetronix through teaching preparation, classroom experiences and follow-up

    • Participate in course planning and creation in preparation to deliver course

    Application Process
