SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Wavetronix has an immediate opening for an entry-level software developer. We're looking for a motivated and ambitious coder who can contribute their experience and knowledge while creating exciting software. Software developers are vital members of our team and work on major development projects. This person will assist in developing traffic related applications which are critical in monitoring and controlling modern vehicular traffic. The software developer will work with other developers and engineers to help solve problems, research potential ideas and answer questions about core software projects. The developer will work on a development team running a high-fidelity scrum implementation. The ideal candidate is interested in doing their best work, learning new skills, and helping the team to excel.

The software developer candidate will have the ability and desire to complete the following goals.

First 30 days:

• Spend time with multiple development teams to learn about company and our products
• Work with Product Owner, other software teams, and fellow team members to develop understanding of the existing code and product vision
• Review existing code and collaborate with team on code improvements

First 90 days:

• Use C# with Visual Studio on a Windows platform to improve and complete existing applications
• Adhere to good design while creating scalable solutions.
• Extend and build out new solutions on the current architecture using modular design.
• Employ deep collaboration techniques to engage with the team in creating high quality, releasable software every sprint.

First Year:

• Use C# with Visual Studio on a Windows platform to extend capabilities and capacities and develop new applications.
• Contribute critically to architecture and design discussions, understand our clients and their functional environment, and be able to creatively solve problems in our application domain.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player with a strong desire to learn cutting-edge technologies and can work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, agile environment. 

Desired skills and experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science OR 3+ years of experience
• Experience with C#, .net core, and network communications
• Experience with unit testing frameworks like NUnit, Junit
