    RF/MICROWAVE ENGINEER

    Wavetronix seeks a highly-motivated full-time RF engineer with a solid background in radio-frequency/ microwave circuits and antenna design. The RF engineer will research, design, develop, and test RF boards and antennas to enhance the performance metrics for current products and to meet the requirements for future radar sensors. The successful candidate will work with a team including experts in RF circuits, radar systems, signal processing, and embedded systems.

    A successful RF Engineer will accomplish the following:

    Within 90 Days: 

    • Develop a deep understanding of the design and RF architecture of Wavetronix radars sensors.
    • Get accustomed to the internal hardware design guidelines, RF design tools, and source control repository system. Also, facilitate other team members with RF related projects.

    Year 1:           

    • Design, simulate, and layout RF features (circuits and antennas) using software (ADS, HFSS, Altium etc.) to ensure their performance meets the required RF specifications.
    • Analyze the performance of fabricated RF circuits and antennas with test equipment (network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, and anechoic chamber etc.).
    • Research and test new RF chipset in the market to evaluate their feasibility for current and future products.  
    • Work with engineering teams on the RF needs for current and future projects.

    Beyond Year 1:   

    • Develop a solid foundation in the RF and antenna technology being used in radar sensors.
    • Become a key contributor to research on RF circuits and antennas for future sensor technology.

    DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

    • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with preferably 5-7 years of relevant experience.
    • High personal motivation, a strong work ethic, and high standards for personal and team results.
    • Demonstrated mastery of electromagnetics, antenna and microwave circuit theory.
    • Demonstrated ability to design and simulate RF circuits and antennas using ADS and HFSS.
    • Proven proficiency and hands-on experience with the use of spectrum analyzer and network analyzer.
    • Demonstrated ability to use Matlab for data analysis.
    • Experience in board layout using Altium is preferred.
