    WayBetter is reinventing motivation itself. We make a whole new category of games that help people stick to their commitments — from eating better to exercising more to learning to cook, play the guitar, or speak Spanish.

    We host games, so it’s only fitting that our customer service team are our ‘Referees’. Being a WayBetter Referee is no ordinary customer service job. For us, customer service is an opportunity to extend our brand, learn about our customers, & drive innovation. As a Referee, you'll be the vital connection between us & our players, making sure they're enjoying the experience, troubleshooting technical issues, & working with our product team on new features. You'll need to be technically adept, quick on your feet, & a good writer.   

    This is a part-time position with some flexibility to work a day or evening shift, typically from 20 hours per week up to full-time (depending on volume). Some holiday and overnight shifts are required.

    You can work from anywhere in the USA (uniform & whistle optional!).

    Responsibilities

    • Respond to our players in a timely & friendly fashion via e-mail & chat
    • Review official DietBet weigh-ins
    • Review official RunBet treadmill submissions
    • Troubleshooting technical issues for all WayBetter products
    • Additional projects, as needed 

    Required Skills:

    • Excellent written communication skills
    • Must be comfortable under pressure in a startup environment where individual initiative is key
    • Willingness to put in extra hours right before & after New Year (our peak season)
    • Great organizational and multitasking skills
    • Evening, weekend & holiday availability required

    • Experience working in a customer service department preferred
    • Experience troubleshooting technical issues & working with dev teams preferred
    • Experience participating in our games preferred
