Wayfarer is a refined (but fun) mobile bartending and hospitality team focused on good drinks, good people, good vibes, and good times. Based in Santa Cruz, CA we are looking to grow our team in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and Napa/Sonoma. About Us: Inspired by the natural beauty of the California coast, Wayfarer is a mobile bar and beverage service providing bartenders, bar rentals, and event staff for weddings, birthday parties, and corporate events throughout Northern California. We are lucky to call Santa Cruz our home, and even luckier still to work from Big Sur to the Sonoma Coast. Our team is fun, friendly, and loves to hang out outside of work - a day trip to Venus Kitchen anyone? We support our team by investing in furthering their education in beer, wine, and craft spirits by attending tasting sessions, online courses, and distillery tours where we learn more about our vendor partners and ways that we can help support each other's business. We value transparency and want everyone to have the opportunity to understand the process of producing an event from start to finish. Interested in a career in experiential marketing, event planning, or bar management? Maybe you're interested in recipe development for kegged cocktails or want to learn how to run an office and understand the hiring process in California (lol, no one wants to do this but throwing it out there just in case you're extremely type-a and want to be our hero). This is the best behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of event production and the teams who make it all happen. Look, we realize this won't be your forever job and maybe you just want a place to work through the summer. We get it. Been there. And honestly, we love that for you. We're here to be a safe and positive place where you can work hard, be appreciated for the work you do, pick up a few new skills along the way, and maybe stumble across a part of this crazy event industry that you love and want to pursue further. Bartenders and Event Staff are on-call positions for an average of 1-2 shifts per week. We post shifts online and you select the shifts you want to work. We are also looking for individuals interested in recipe development, administrative tasks, social media management, etc. Please let us know if you're interested in those additional roles and we will happily discuss hours, wage, and responsibilities.
